A message from His Excellency João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola, to his Tanzanian counterpart Samia Suluhu Hassan, was delivered this Saturday afternoon, in Dar-es-Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania, by His Excellency Ambassador Téte António , Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Angola.
The message from the Angolan Head of State, whose content was not revealed, should be related to solidarity with the people and Government of Tanzania, as well as the deepening of bilateral and multilateral relations, including issues of mutual interest at regional and continental level.

The message from the Angolan Head of State was delivered to President Samia Suluhu Hassan, in the presence of Ambassador
Sandro de Oliveira, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola to the United Republic of Tanzania by His Excellency Stergomena Tax, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation for East Africa.
Tanzania is a country bordered to the north by Uganda and Kenya, to the east by the Indian Ocean, to the south by Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia, and to the west by DR Congo (exclusively lacustrine border, across Lake Tanganyika), by Burundi and across Rwanda.
The country includes the archipelago of Zanzibar, situated in the Indian Ocean.
The largest coastal city, Dar es Salaam, has long been the political capital of the country and currently remains the main city and de facto location of most government institutions.
The Republic of Angola and the Republic of Tanzania maintain bilateral cooperation relations and within the framework of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), of which both States are associate members.
